I played proud Stockholmer host to two sets of guests this month. Details coming soon, but first, because my Mama is anxious to see evidence thereof, a link to photos from a visit with our Swedish relatives, the Länerfeldts. For those keeping track: Börje (pronounced burr-yuh) is my grandpa’s nephew.
I knew there was somethin' downright un-Amurrican about you, boy.

Gosh. I know this sounds corny but your pictures almost made me cry. Family, connection, tradition, good stories...
It reminds me of the GK Chesteron quote:
Tradition means giving votes to the most obscure of all classes, our ancestors. It is the democracy of the dead. Tradition refuses to submit to that arrogant oligarchy who merely happen to be walking around.
