Teardrop Comma
These small signs are attached to nearly every building, usually indicating 2,0 or 1,1. Nobody can tell me what they are for. Some sort of utility marker? Gas?
Update April 25, 2005: Carl Winberg of The Tudor Arms kindly writes to tell me they indicate direction and distance to a fire hydrant.
